Crown and prepared tooth model

Getting a crown is a straightforward process. Knowing the timeline makes it easy to plan around work and family.

Visit one

The tooth is numbed, shaped, and an impression or scan is taken. You leave with a temporary crown. This visit usually takes about an hour to ninety minutes.

In between

A dental lab crafts your crown, usually over about two weeks. Avoid sticky or very hard foods on the temporary.

Visit two

The temporary comes off, the fit and colour of the permanent crown are checked, and it is cemented in place.
